Yoga and Fertility - one woman's experience

I love teaching yoga, I love how yoga benefits people on such a profound level in so many ways - whether it’s physically, mental, energetically or emotionally or often a combination of all of these.  I've seen it happen so many times, it’s so powerful to witness.  But I will never fail to be moved by the kind of feedback I received this week from a woman who attended my Fertility Yoga Course.

I'm grateful that she has allowed me to share this with you and hope her words will encourage anyone reading, who understands what she has experienced, to come and join the next Fertility Yoga course and be part of our supportive group. Here's what she had to say:

Some wonderful feedback

What were your first impressions of the course?

I felt it was a quiet and safe space in my week. A place where I wasn't judged for my feelings.

How did you find the sessions?

"I found it quite difficult to open up to start with. I had so much emotions hidden inside of me. It was difficult to accept some of it. Your sessions have given me a chance to go through it all and accept it."

How did you all the extras - the PDF guides, worksheets, videos, MP3's and private Facebook group benefit you?

"All the information from the course, in all formats, was really helpful. I've followed up on most of the ideas, plans and advice."

Did you practice between and after the sessions?

"I do some of the fertility yoga poses before I go to bed almost every day as I find them calming and relaxing."

What changes have you noticed in yourself since starting the course?

"I've become more balanced even when my life is busy and hectic. I can find positivity even when at the first glance everything seems dark and grey."

How has the Fertility Yoga course benefited you day-to-day?

"I learnt to manage my stress levels. I try to find time for myself as often as I can."

Would you recommend the course to others?

"Yes! It's a good way to rediscover yourself again. It can really make a difference in your life."

Any other feedback you'd like to give?

"I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU. I can't say enough about how helpful your sessions were. When we started I was going through my second miscarriage I felt I was going out of my mind, and your sessions helped me to pick myself back again and cope with my grief."

I was so humbled to hear this feedback about my Fertility Yoga course, it genuinely made me quite emotional. It's something I care about deeply, and I created this unique course course from my heart. So to hear the positive effects it had is just wonderful.

An overview - how Fertility Yoga can benefit women

Fertility experts talk about how emotional and mental wellbeing can affect your physical wellbeing, and how achieving a strong mind-body connection can have a positive influence on your chances of conception. Many people need support in reaching a relaxed and optimistic mind-set during what can be a very stressful time. This is where yoga can help you.

Yoga is an effective way of:

  • reducing stress and anxiety

  • creating a positive mind-set

  • reconnecting with your body and reproductive system

  • learning relaxation techniques to use anytime

  • being proactive on your conception journey so you feel more in control

Yoga cannot claim to get you pregnant, but it can help your fertility journey feel much more positive and less stressful. For any more information at all please do get in touch. I'm very happy to share all I know. Susan x
