When you first find out you are pregnant it can be a huge mix of emotions - excitement, joy, worry to name but a few. You may feel nauseous, tired or pretty much the same as usual - we are all different. Often we are advised not to partake in usual activities, or we may not feel like them in the first trimester. It can be a cultural assumption that you won’t tell people about you pregnancy until after your first scan., and that too can be hard keeping the biggest secret in the world!
So this guided relaxation is to help you stay calm, connected and relaxed in the first trimester. To help you to de-stress, relax and to positively visualise the truly amazing process that your body is going through in early pregnancy. Drawing on relaxation techniques from my experience of mindfulness meditation, yoga and breath work, to give you something positive to ‘do’ when other activities like yoga might be off the table.
