This is a pack of four MP3 audios to help you through the journey of IVF.
These guided relaxations aim to help you to de stress, relax and to positively visualise the amazing process that your body is going through during IVF. Drawing on relaxation techniques from my experience of mindfulness meditation, breath work, yoga and hypnobirthing, I have created and recorded these guided relaxation audio’s to help you to achieve a deep state of relaxation and encourage your relaxed mind to focus positively on conception during your IVF cycle.
Latest research suggests that the success rate of IVF and ICSI may be improved by using relaxation and positive visualisation techniques. You can use the MP3’s alone or alongside acupuncture.
There are three specific guided relaxations, plus a simple yet brilliantly effective relaxing and calming breathing practice which can be used at anytime.
1) IVF preparation and stimulation phase to use to prepare and from the first day of your stimulation medication until egg collection
2) Post Egg Collection, Pre-Embryo Transfer. to use from after egg collection. This guided relaxation is designed to help your mind and body prepare to receive the fertilised embryos and help to prepare for implantation
3) Two week wait and implantation. to be listened to from Embryo Transfer onwards. Many women find the ‘two week wait’ a very difficult time. This guided relaxation can help you to keep a positive mental focus, stay more relaxed and keep stress at bay and help you tap into your inner strength so that you feel confident in your ability to deal with the results, whatever they may be.
4) Calm Breathing. A simple guided breathing practice to bring you into your bodys ‘relaxation response’ at any time, reduce stress hormones in the blood stream and help you feel calmer, more at ease. To be used at any time.
These guided relaxation MP3’s are designed to help you in two ways. Firstly, to help you cope better with each stage of the IVF treatment and secondly to support your body to respond well to the IVF. When the mind and body are relaxed everything works better, and you feel better too.
IVF is a challenging procedure and the outcome of the treatment is not one you can control. Trying to control the outcome of the treatment only creates more stress and tension in your body. Through regular guided relaxation you will find it much easier to tap into your inner resources, relax and take things in your stride.
